Real Housewife of the 1950’s

All dressed up and nowhere to go. I envy the 1950’s housewife who daily would get dolled up, look adorable and parade to the grocery store for fresh fruit and flowers. More often than not, I’m wearing a gym outfit, no makeup and look like I’ve just taken a nap. Oh, to be in a society that demanded fashion sense, high expectations and beauty to avoid community gossip! I long to be in that time! 😉

Joking aside dressing up is actually among my favorite things to do and I have to admit, I’ve found myself wanting to wear the same outfit two days in a row because not enough people saw an outfit I adored on the first go around! (I also have that tendency if it was incredibly comfy but we’ll save those sweet pics for a later date.) Well ladies times have changed. Now we can get all dressed up and still have nowhere to go, but at least our FB and Insta friends can relish in our creative getups!

For “hot-at-home” moments, or actual” out-and-about” moments, Shabby Apple is our version of playing dress up! Playing house, movie star or princesses with our friends or kids is easy with a cute little number from Shabby Apple. Their delicate, very feminine pieces make for original, stand-out date night, a night on the town and church outfits as well.

Shabby Apple’s Bronwynn Dress paired with an old pair of Jessica Simpson Pumps was a sweet ensemble reminiscent of a simpler, fashionably fantastic and colorful time! For a tasty touch, I added the cutest little apron from Fab Fit Fun.

Shabby Apple has tulle skirts for days, all of which can be whimsically turned into apparel fit for a princess, fairy, witch or godmother.

Shabby Apple dresses are as sweet as apple pie!

(Pictures: I’m more of a trick over treat kind of gal so yes- that is a tomato and yes it was thrown post shoot.)
