M’lis Detox and Hopefully the End of My Allergies
I just started a detoxification program this week. You can find the plan below but in essence it consists of prepping the body for two days but cutting out the garbage I probably shouldn’t eat anyway. Then there are three surprisingly un-painful days full of supplements, water and a maple syrup and lemon juice mixture. Yea.. yea I know what you are thinking. “Another fad diet!!” Well my friends you’d be in error although, I did think and feel the same way at first.
My allergies have gotten worse. Even though I exercise regularly and eat super well 80% of the time well let’s make that 70%. (Totally made up percentages but who doesn’t do that?) I’ve been really tired lately. I’ll be honest with you though, that 70% was at a 20% last week when we went to San Diego. Mark loves sugar and thus my temptation was through the roof! As I’m writing this I feel like a sinner in church.
I love nutrition but doesn’t the saying always go “the plumber’s house always has a leak”? This trip exposed some serious leaks! Tacos on the beach were heavenly and salmon topped fettuccine alfredo was glorious but how I felt didn’t fit into the previous mentioned adjectives. I felt bloated, fat, gross, and scatter brained.
These reasons and more are what lead my previously uncharted waters of a detoxification program. Stay tuned for the after results!
